Our Story

Co-founders Tim and Cynthia Matthews incorporated ACC on June 4, 2001.

Tim, President of ACC, has over 30 years of experience in the IT Industry. Working as a young boy with his father, an electrician, Tim discovered the joy of “making things work.” Tim attended the University of Pittsburgh, graduating with a degree in information technology and mathematics, which he found to be his greatest passion. Early in his career, he joined Mellon Bank as an IT specialist and then worked as a lead IT technologist for AT&T and Marriott. Looking to expand his talents to managing the IT demands for the next century, Tim joined a Fortune 500 staffing company as its IT business development manager and consultant, successfully placing hundreds of IT professionals and C-level executives in technology-based firms.

Cynthia, Vice-President of ACC, has over 30 years of experience in the business management world. Early in her life, she knew she enjoyed writing and creating new projects. Cynthia attended Wayne State University in Detroit, studying English. Her early career started at Ernst & Young, where she managed the Michigan/Toledo IT services division. She went on to join the team of Heidrick and Struggles in Washington, DC, where she managed the national affairs of the financial services partners. As a staff member of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), Cynthia worked directly for the Chair of EEOC, helping carry out the Hispanic EEO Agenda under the George W. Bush administration.

Working in partnership, Tim oversees ACC’s leadership team and Cynthia leads operations. Their in-depth knowledge of the latest developments and best-in-class solutions helps the team at ACC consistently exceed customers’ expectations. Tim and Cynthia remain resolute in providing technology-based solutions to ACC’s clients while maintaining strong, customer-focused bonds.
